When The Nightmare Police went into making their new album, Losing the Light, the Long Island, NY-band wanted to make sure that it was a collaborative experience.

"We really wanted this album to be more personal," the band tells Myspace. "More about what we've gone through. We also took more influences of everyone in the group and put them together to make this record feel more raw and emotional."

For their new track, "Medicine Cabinet," they tackled a rough subject that some may be able to relate to.

"Our new single ‘Medicine Cabinet’ is about trying to get a handle on your addiction and it taking control," the alt-rock trio says. "Losing the friends and family that try to help and not being able to get out of the hole you've dug for yourself. Not because you don't want to but because you can't; the addiction will not let you."
